Complex campuses
Boarding houses, sports centres and multi-storey buildings each need their own diagram set
A boarding house is a sleeping accommodation building and needs diagrams at every level and exit. A performing arts centre needs diagrams for the auditorium, back of house and foyer. A sports centre with a pool needs assembly areas that make sense for a wet, barefoot crowd. CMG designs each diagram for the building and the people in it, not from a template.
For multi-campus schools CMG keeps one set of drawings and one register of every diagram, so your business manager or facilities team can see at a glance what was issued where and when, and what has changed since.
- Full-campus survey with drawings held on file for fast updates
- Boarding, sports, arts and chapel buildings covered
- Multi-storey orientation handled correctly on every level
- Framed display diagrams to suit heritage and new buildings
- Chief warden and warden training for a large staff body

Interactive self-check
Is your evacuation diagram still compliant?
Six quick checks based on AS 3745-2010 and what Craig sees most often on WA sites.
Does every diagram have a "You Are Here" point that matches where it is mounted?AS 3745-2010 requires the diagram to be oriented to the viewer's position.
Are all current exits and paths of travel shown, with nothing that no longer exists?Blocked, locked or removed doors are the most common failure.
Is the assembly area shown correctly, including any temporary changes?Construction, transportables and new fencing often move it.
Is every extinguisher, hose reel, blanket and alarm point shown where it actually is?Equipment gets relocated during fit-outs and services.
Has the building changed since the diagram was issued?Extensions, new rooms, demountables or a changed use of space.
Is the diagram legible, with a legend, and mounted at the right height?Faded prints and missing legends are non-compliant.
Answer the six checks above
Takes under a minute. We will tell you plainly whether your diagrams are likely to stand up.

Common questions
Straight answers grounded in AS 3745-2010 and WA workplace legislation. Anything else, call Craig.
Do boarding houses need evacuation diagrams?
Yes. As sleeping accommodation they carry a higher duty. Diagrams are needed at each level and near each exit, oriented to the viewer.
Can you survey a large campus without disrupting classes?
Yes. Surveys are done during holidays or around timetables, and installation is usually a single visit per building.
How do you handle new buildings opening mid-year?
Send CMG the architectural floor plans and the diagrams are drawn before the building opens, then verified on site at handover.
Can diagrams carry our school branding?
Yes. Diagrams can carry the school crest and colours while keeping every element AS 3745-2010 requires.
