Evacuation Diagrams in Cockburn, Jandakot and Armadale

The south-east growth corridor from Cockburn Central through Treeby and Piara Waters to Armadale and Byford is adding schools and logistics warehouses at pace. CMG has installed diagrams at Treeby Primary School and Riva Primary School and works with the warehousing and light industry around Jandakot and Forrestdale.

Local knowledge

New schools and large warehouses with long travel paths

New primary schools in Treeby and Piara Waters opened with CMG diagrams and have grown since, so the drawings on file make each update straightforward. Jandakot and Forrestdale warehouses have long paths of travel and multiple roller doors, and the diagram has to show the nearest exit clearly from every workstation and racking aisle.

CMG can deliver extinguisher training with the digital extinguisher simulator on site, so warehouse teams practise where they work.

Interactive self-check

Is your evacuation diagram still compliant?

Six quick checks based on AS 3745-2010 and what Craig sees most often on WA sites.

Does every diagram have a "You Are Here" point that matches where it is mounted?AS 3745-2010 requires the diagram to be oriented to the viewer's position.

Are all current exits and paths of travel shown, with nothing that no longer exists?Blocked, locked or removed doors are the most common failure.

Is the assembly area shown correctly, including any temporary changes?Construction, transportables and new fencing often move it.

Is every extinguisher, hose reel, blanket and alarm point shown where it actually is?Equipment gets relocated during fit-outs and services.

Has the building changed since the diagram was issued?Extensions, new rooms, demountables or a changed use of space.

Is the diagram legible, with a legend, and mounted at the right height?Faded prints and missing legends are non-compliant.

Answer the six checks above

Takes under a minute. We will tell you plainly whether your diagrams are likely to stand up.
